Cashton is now a Boy Scout. He earned is Arrow of Light and Webelos Badge. They had a great outdoor ceremony with a fire and an Indian who helped with the presentation. It was really cool.

Gabriel's Baby Blessing

This is the first time we had a child blessed at home instead of at church. He was just 11 days old. We wanted to have him blessed before my dad went back to Utah. It was very special. I didn't realize how much more intimate it is when you don't have the entire congregation there. It was quiet and very spiritual. I think I would have all my kids blessed at home if I would've known how wonderful it is.

New Addition - Gabriel

We finally had our baby. It felt like I was pregnant for a long time. We are having an interesting time adjusting to having a newborn. It is definitely a challenge. Cortney and I have both realized that we are too old for this. We are not used to being up a lot during the middle of the night. Sleep has evaded us. He is a keeper though. Cashton is a huge help and does a great job holding Gabe. Parker and Quinlee are great too. They are always kissing him and asking what they can do to help.

Barefoot and Pregnant

So I actually did my hair and make-up today (for church). Since it doesn't happen very often I had Cortney take a couple of pictures. Oh yeah, and I (with my wonderful hubby's help) colored my hair this morning. No more gray... for at least 2 weeks!!

Cashton made this for me on Mother's Day. You made need to use headphones to hear him talk. He did it at night and was afraid I would hear.

So I took a couple of pictures of my pregnancy. I don't exactly look pregnant, just fat. No wonder people have no idea I'm expecting. Oh well. I'll get over it.

The kids had a blast riding rides at Carowinds. It's a great place to spend the day with the family. It's kind of like Lagoon. They are standing at the sign that divides North and South Carolina. We spent the day in both states. Where else can you go without driving through the states?

By the end of the day I was beat. However, on my last doctor's appointment I had lost 2 lbs. Maybe I need to go there more often...

New Clothes

Talk about spoiled kids. Grandma and KayCee went on a shopping spree and here are the kids in one of the many outfits they received. They love all of them. Thank you so much for getting these clothes for them. They really needed it. Thanks grandpa for letting grandma spend the money :).

Snow Day

Well the kids enjoyed a wonderful snow day. The snow lasted most of the day so they made a snowman. Parker did most of the work and created the cute face.

So it's been awhile since I've done anything with my blog. I guess I should update it. We moved to Rock Hill, SC at the end of 2008. We are glad there is no snow, but it's very lonely down here. We miss our family and friends so much.

Our kids have become closer which is a good thing. We are also closer as a family. So I guess it's ok.

Stephenie Meyer

I just finished reading (listening) to Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. If you haven't read her books, I suggest you do. Especially if you love romance. They have to be my favorite. Harry Potter is a close second, but wow! these books are riveting and I am starting to listen to them again.

Church Callings

Cortney was released as the Elder's Quorum President of three years and is now serving as the first counselor in young men's. He is loving every minute of it. No more setting up movers for the various people who move in and out of the apartments -- sometimes I think we will be here for life (ha ha ha).

I was released from young women's because I was too busy (or so they say), but I still hold three callings. I am the Stake Women's Sports Director, assistant girl's camp director, and a committee member on the activities committee. Whew!!

Cashton is almost finished with his Bear and will be turning 10 so he will be a Webelo.

Parker is in CTR 6 and Quinlee is in Sunbeams. We fight her every week. She absolutely hates going, but always loves it once she's done.

Student Teaching

On August 25th I will begin my endeavor of being a high school teacher. I will be student teaching at Fremont High School, which is in Plain City, Utah. I am very excited and extremely nervous at the same time. My cooperating teacher is great. He has given me several helpful ideas to get me started.

Quinlee will be starting preschool at Fremont Hight school, which makes it very convenient for me. She will attend five days a week, all day.

Cashton is excited to start fifth grade and Parker is stoked for first grade.
